Roger Timothy Nail, 53, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center following a long illness. Timothy was born Dec. 13, 1958, the son of J. W. Nail and Rita Nail Boyett. Until he became disabled Timothy was an employee of Nail Ag Enterprises and was especially skilled as a machinist and welder. He loved to design and build equipment and was an avid reader who could communicate on almost any subject. Timothy was preceded in death by is only son, Timmy Nail in 1998 a loss he mourned the remainder of his life; a brother, Ricky Nail, and the July 2 death of his father, J. W. Nail, that he never knew about.
Survivors include his loving daughters, Kaci Quinn, Staci (Jeremy) Smith and Amber Nail; three grandchildren, Kamdyn Quinn, Gage Nail and Ree Smith. Also surviving are his mother, Rita Nail Boyett; step-father, Gene Boyett; brothers, Mark Nail and Chris (Melissa) Nail and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7 at Swain Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joey Andrews and Chris Nail officiating. Interment followed in Nail Memorial Garden, 2915 Nail Road beside other beloved family members.
Active pallbearers were Jeremy Nail, John Nail, Markus Nail, Gage Nail, Maxwell Leggett and Blake Reeves.
Musical selections were rendered by Vickie Dyal, Karen Yawn, Kim Sweeney, Grady Sweeney, Mike Cleland, Danny Sikes and Alene Thomas.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
