Kyle Staines, 22, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at his residence. Kyle was the son of Ron Staines and the late Stephanie Jo Staines. He was born in Savannah on Jan. 20, 1989. Mr. Staines was a 2007 graduate of Appling County High School and was attending Middle Georgia Technical College in Warner Robbins. He was employed as a co-op AMT at Warner Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church. Kyle was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troup 472 of Baxley and was an alumnus of the Appling County Band.
Survivors include his father, Ron Staines of Baxley; three sisters, Dana Eason of Baxley, Kristina (Don) Eason of Hazlehurst and Breanna Jones of Baxley; two brothers, Matthew Staines and Vernon Staines, both of Baxley; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Louise Staines of Fayetteville.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at Altamaha Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Hutcheson officiating. Interment followed in Altamaha Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were deacons, Nathan Stone, Kenneth Stone, Louis Joseph Spenyovics, David Fennell, Jesse Stone and Bobby Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were deacon’s wives, Sherrie Stone, Carol Ann Spenyovics, Susan Fennell, Theresa Stone, Ann Jones, Altamaha Youth Sunday School Class and the Boy Scout Troup 472 of Baxley.
Musical selections were rendered by Lori Ann Lewis and Altamaha Baptist Church Choir.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
