Dear Mr. White,
My question is in regard to a letter written after Appling County voted to keep Fourth District open. Neal White wrote a letter stating that "keeping Fourth District open was one of the most selfish acts this county has done." My question is of course, why would Fourth District want a representative that is in favor of closing our school?

The school is now being rebuilt. It is not going to be closed now. Plus he was looking at it from a buisness stand point. 1.2 million dollars of tax payer money to rebuild it! Thats money that could of helped ALL citizen's who pay taxes. Fourth district elementary school is not the only scool in the 4th district!

Mrs. Wright, you are correct, I did say that then. It's because I knew it would take a lot of money to repair the school and especially then we were still in the red as far as money goes! But as you can see now the school has been remodeled and will be ready by start of school. With 1.2 million dollars being spent on it thru tax payer dollars you have got to support the school now! I was looking at it from a whole counties perspective of money our county just did not have. Plus every school is in the 4th district except the middle school and Altamaha school. It just made smart buisness since! Thanks! Neal White

I have the same concern as my daughter attends 4th District and has grown to love it out there!The kids get so much one on one attention and lets face the facts that if it were closed it would crowd the classrooms in town and some kids may not get the one on one they need!Our kids should be the focus not a few more dollars here and there in taxes which are only going to be written off when people file at the end of the year!It would be important to me to know whomever recieved my vote was intent on keeping 4th district open for many years!
