Brooke Sikes
Sikes selected as ACHS Salutatorian
Brooke Sikes is the 2012 Salutatorian of Appling County High School. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Sharon Sikes. Brooke was honored to be chosen by her class as Most Valuable to School and Most Intellectual Senior Class Superlatives.
Brooke is an active member of the Appling County High School’s Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America and 4-H. She is a recipient of the Georgia Certificate of Merit Award, Top 10 Award for four years, Foundations of Family Award, and Nutrition and Wellness Award.
Brooke has been a starter on the varsity Lady Pirate Softball Team all four years of her high school career. As a freshman she was selected to the First Team All Region Third Base and Second Team All State Third Base. During her Sophomore and Junior years she was selected Second Team All Region Third Base, and her Senior Year All Region Honorable Mention Short Stop.
Brooke is a member of Unity Baptist Church, where she is active with the youth, and sings in the choir. She will attend Georgia Southern University in the fall and plans to pursue a degree in the medical field.
