Bonnie Mae Lee Crosby, age 75 of McDonough, passed away suddenly April 20. She was born in Bristol, to the late James Denver and Beulah Ophelia Harris Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Melvin Eugene Crosby, Sr. Bonnie had worked for J.C. Penney’s Outlet in Forest Park for many years and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.
She was very active in church, was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed taking care of everyone. Survivors include her children, Melvin (Teresea) Crosby of Lynnville, TN, Brenda Mae (Billy) Martin of Griffin; grandchildren of “Nanny”, Ricky, Dennis, Denver, Rachel Crosby and Billy Martin; siblings, Tony (Don) Ray of Waycross, Sherry (Carol) Dixon of Patterson, Marilyn (David) Crosby of Baxley, Diane (Lamar) Roberson of Middleburg, FL, Donald (Vivian) Lee of White Oak; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Oakland Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Smith officiated. Interment followed at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park.
