Tri-County Court Appointed Special Advocates, Inc. Board of Directors, Volunteers and Executive Director will be hosting the CASA’s annual “Light of Hope” Ceremony Monday, April 30, at Baxley City Hall at 7:00 p.m. The keynote speaker for the evening will be Danielle Denison from Wayne County. Mrs. Denison is the wife of Jacob and they have one son, Judah. She and her husband serve as Youth Pastors at Victory Tabernacle Church of God in Jesup.
Danielle was once considered a juvenile delinquent but chose instead to be a success and not a statistic. She and her husband teach that the difference between statistics and success is the choices we make.
Michael Davis, five year old son of Katie and David Davis, will be the vocalist. Michael has one younger brother, Wade. Michael is a graduate of Promiseland Preschool and is currently enrolled at Altamaha Elementary School in their Pre-K program. Also featured will be CASA scrapbooks compiled and designed by CASA Volunteer Sonia Williams and recent Leadership Conference attendee Nadia McCarnes.
Recipients of the 2012 “Light of Hope” awards will be recognized and honored for the difference they have made in the life of a child and/or children. Nominations were accepted in several categories including religious organizations, youth organizations, school personnel, athletic organizations, child welfare; youth working with youth, volunteer organizations and public service agencies.
The public is encouraged to be a part of this celebration. If you have any questions, please contact Tri-County CASA at 912.3670064, email tricountycasa@bellsouth.net or visit the website:
