Dear Editor,

The article by Mrs. Mary Ann Ellis on April 18, entitled “Trial by Media”, was a great article that should be an eye opener for our community. It should teach us all a lesson about the consequences of jumping to conclusions and forming opinions without knowing all of the facts about a case.

This leads me to my question: Why then did she and others try and convict our local elected officials who work daily to protect the citizens? So, let us not put our officials on a “trial” without knowing true facts. After all, I was not there…were you?

Great article! It is time for some people to stop talking out of both sides of their mouth. With all due respect, Ellis wrote one article completely slamming our Sheriff without knowing facts, and then the next week encouraged the public not to condemn someone else without knowing the facts!
I support the Sheriff, and when the truth comes out, many othrs in this county will do the same.

Mr. Page, we need more young people in our county like you who will express their opinion; maybe soon, you will decide to run for public office!!
