Congressman John Barrow is seeking re-election in Georgia's newly drawn 12th Congressional District. He has no opponent in the Primary. Congressman Barrow is a Democrat, resides in Augusta and is seeking a fifth term in Washington. In this interview, he speaks with Cameron Harrelson about his views on energy, the economy, and restoring congressional trust.

Congressman Barrow is very impressive and seems very sincere when he made his appearance in Baxley, Ga. however it is my opinion from how I have seen him handle the matter I presented him with that he should not represent the 12 district. He is in office to represent us on vital matters. I was very disappointed in his performance. At the very least I expected a letter of acknowledgement of the information I gave him and the problem it dealt with. Never happened. Is this the type of person we want to represent us.
Since the congressman chose not to act I can only assume that the lobbyists or powers that be of one of the largest companies in our area has him under their power and influence.
It will be interesting on his next Baxley town hall meeting to have him explain his lack of response. This is exactly the type of performance that we the people of this state are tired of. We want men or women in office who are not afraid of large companies but are willing to do the right thing. Just because you are impressive in your speeches does not mean you are impressive in your actions. Had I not had this problem and wanted to address it with Mr. Barrow then I might just have been fooled into thinking this is the man for the job.
He is not and I encourage every voter to read and study each candidate closely. Let's disect their past performances in all areas of their lives and let's find a candidate that is willing to work for the people.
