FDES receives National Title I Distinguished School Banner

Fourth District Elementary School’s students, faculty, and staff gathered in the front of the school for a group photograph on Thursday morning, February 24.

This past winter, Dr. Lynn Overstreet was notified of selection for the prestigious National Title I Distinguished School award, one of two schools in the state of Georgia. Along with the tremendous honor of the award’s receipt, FDES received $15,000 for expenditures related to attendance at the National Title I conference in Tampa, for road signs, instructional materials, etc.

The National Title I Distinguished School banner was received in recognition of the award and for the school’s display.
