The ACA Eagles travelled to McDonough on Friday the 6th to face the Bible Baptist Eagles, a regional contender. Andrew Phillips led off the Eagle offense with a triple and the game continued with strong offensive from the Appling team. Rex Cox led the Eagle offense with three hits. Bryant Phillips, Dallas Johnson, Andrew Phillips, each had two apiece.
The ACA defense held fast and only allowed two runs. The Eagles were able to use all of their players in some capacity during the duration of the game.
Pitching for the Eagles were Bryant Phillips, who started, Brandon Horton, who received the win, and Rex Cox, who closed the game out. The Eagles finished in five innings by run rule. The game was closed by a final score of 16-2.
