Mr. and Mrs. William E. Hollingsworth, Sr. of Odum, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melanie Gail Hollingsworth to Cale Michael Harris, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl C. Harris, Sr. of Screven.
Melanie’s maternal grandparents are Billie and Nell Clanton of Odum, Gail Thompson Edwards of Savannah, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry E. Edwards of Savannah. Her paternal grandparents are Janell Clark Hollingsworth of Guyton, and the late R.H. Hollingsworth of Guyton.
Cale’s maternal grandparents are Thomas D. and Evelyn Kinchen of Screven. His paternal grandparents are the late Joe Baker Harris, Sr. and the late Christine Kennedy Harris of Screven.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Wayne County High School. She received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Georgia in 2009 where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She completed her Masters in Biomedical Sciences in 2011 from Barry University in Miami. Melanie is employed as the Nutrition and Educational Coordinator with the Georgia Department of Agriculture in Atlanta.
The groom-elect is a 2005 graduate of Wayne County High School. He received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 2010 and his Masters in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 2011.
Cale was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and Beta Alpha Psi professional fraternity. He is a certified Public Accountant and is employed with Bryant, Drury, and Griffis, P.C. accounting firm in Jesup.
The wedding will be held May 5, at 7:00 p.m. at Clanton River Ranch 351 Old River Road in Odum. Guests are requested to arrive between 6:15 and 6:45 p.m. to be transported to the wedding site. Shuttle stops at 6:45. Even though no formal wedding invitations will be sent, friends and relatives are invited to attend.
