Progress
For a quarter of a century this newspaper has published a Progress Report that presents unique information the general public may not be aware of about our community. First and foremost, let me thank this community for its continued support of this publication. Without your support this special issue would not be possible.
Secondly, let me offer encouragement to the citizens of this community. Be strong advocates in promoting our community. There is no place like Baxley and Appling County.
As many of you are aware, there are superior quality products generated and produced right here in Appling County that are used around the world. From chemicals to recycling equipment and wood products and agriculture, people across the country and world are using products generated in Appling County as you read this. It is amazing to me that somewhere across the United States someone is using electricity generated at Plant Hatch, wood products from Rayonier or eating products produced by Appling farmers at this very moment.
We are all stakeholders in our community and let’s keep moving forward Baxley and Appling County.
