Our first year’s subscription to your fine newspaper is concluding. We eagerly anticipate its’ weekly arrival and are sending our check for a three-year subscription extension.
Your objective of sponsoring better government, education, religion and moral awareness are obvious throughout the pages. It is such a joy to read positive, friendly application of events. And when the news is...and sometimes it is...bad, you do not treat it with the “blood, guts and gory” details.
The OPINIONS page rates ten stars out of a possible ten.
My father was born in Appling County on April 22, 1908. He and my mother are buried in the Peniel Cemetery near our home here. (Peniel is the little Baptist Church that both baptized and ordained Rev. Billy Graham, in 1938 and 1939 respectively.)
Some of my most beloved kin live in and around the Baxley/Hazlehurst area. Thanks for keeping us informed about those near to the heart but miles away!
Very truly yours,
