On Feb. 5 the Appling County Heritage Center held its regularly scheduled support meeting. Rebecca Ogden gave a very interesting program, observing Black History Month. Ogden’s topic was “From nothing to something.”

Rebecca talked about growing up, times were hard, and her father was a hard working man and instilled all his beliefs in his kids, which are still with them today. He brought his family from nothing to something.
Rebecca talked about her father and how proud he was of all his family and friends and how he always gave the Lord the credit for taking what little they had and multiplying it for their needs.
She talked about how her family always had faith, hope and love and always prayed for everyone, that they would keep God in their hearts and always give Him the praise.
Victoria Copeland sang “God is Able to Do What He Promised” and Martha Crosby also blessed everyone with a song.
The program ended with a song from the speaker, Rebecca Ogden. The presentation was enjoyed by everyone present.
