Locals Advancing to South Atlantic Regional Tournament

During the past six to eight months, several of our local residents have qualified to participate in one of the nation’s largest regional amateur APA singles billiards tournament during March 3 to 4 in Charleston, SC for a trip to Las Vegas where they will be competing nationally for cash prizes totaling over $550,000.00.

Pictured from left to right, Randy Jones, Thomas Strickland, Randall Byrd, Sr, Vernard Pearsey and Paul Arredondo (not pictured) will be playing in either the 8-ball tournament (Randy Jones & Vernard Pearsey) or the 9-ball tournament (Randall Byrd, Sr, Randy Jones, Thomas Strickland and Paul Arredondo). They play locally at the Appling County War Veterans Club and Danny’s Billiards.
