Thankful for honesty

Dear Editor and citizens of Baxley and Appling County,

I just want to give thanks to a wonderful person there. On Dec. 29 after shopping at Wal-Mart I took my purchases to my car and apparently left my purse in the shopping cart in the parking lot. Later when I discovered it missing and called the store you can’t imagine my surprise and happiness when I was told someone had turned it in. To this person I want to say thank you and God Bless you. He or she didn’t leave their name.

I am an 80-year-old native of Surrency and even though I haven’t lived up here in over 50 years I still love going back.

Once again, thank you and God Bless you to the honest person.
