Lady Pirates lose to Brantley County, defeat Long County
The Appling County Lady Pirates traveled to face the Brantley County Lady Herons on Friday, January 13 and came up just short losing 45-56.
The Lady Pirates next contest came on the road in Long County with the Lady Pirates getting the win 62-25. Four Lady Pirates were in double figures led by Celecca Fedrick with 15 points, Alexus Boles with 12 points, Briyanna Brantley with 12 points (four three pointers) and Zina Bryant with 10 points. The Lady Pirate defense was led by Alexus Boles and Khaila Burkett with a combined 10 steals.
The Lady Pirates are now 8-8 overall and 3-7 in Region 2AA play.
The Lady Pirates will host Tattnall County on Tuesday, January 17 and will host Vidalia on Friday, January 20 will both games scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
