Lady Pirates win two region contests

The Appling County Lady Pirates hosted the Brantley County Lady Herons on Friday, January 14 and were able to hold off a late rally to pick up the Region 2AA victory.

The Lady Pirates hosted the Long County Lady Blue Tide on Saturday, January 15 and were able to win by a score of 44-21. Khaila Burkett led the Lady Pirates with 11 points with Ashley Jones adding ten points.

With the two victories the Lady Pirates improved to 12-4 overall and 8-2 in region play. The Lady Pirates will travel to Tattnall County on Tuesday, January 18 and will travel to Vidalia on Friday, January 21 with both games scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
