The Black History Dinner Show Case will be held at the Progressive Resource Center at the Parker Harrell Building on Sunday, February 27 at 1:00 until 5:00 p.m.
Featuring Deloris Williams Jones – Black History Moment, Annie B. and Roland Rooks – Musical Rendition, Jessie Alderman (Baritone) – Negro Spiritual, Angela Isom and Tina Miller – Queens of the South, the 1963 Class of Appling Consolidated High School – musical sounds, and display of arts and crafts by Addie Hunter, Betty Isom and Drissie Williams.
The dinner menu will consist of collards, mustards, turnips and pigtails, chicken and rice, backbones and rice, fried chicken, baked ham and chicken, baked sweet potatoes, crackling bread, corn bread, peach cobbler and lemonade.
There will be a charge for adults and a reduced charge for children age 12 and under.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
