Patricia Dianne Ansley, 64, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at Appling Healthcare System. Patricia Dianne was a native of Lowndes County and had lived most of her life in Appling County. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and the Naomi Sunday-School Class. Mrs. Ansley was preceded in death by a son, Mark Allen Ansley, her father, Bill Dell and sister, Carolyn Sharpe.
Survivors include her husband, Earnest Ansley of Baxley; two sons, Jason Ansley and Daniel Brian (Nancy) Ansley, all of Baxley; one step-daughter, Teresa (Mark) Tanton of Wrightsville; her mother, Willene Dell; three sisters, Karen (Toney) Sharpe, Susan (Jeffery) Turner and Connie (Tony) Arnold; one brother-in-law, Dan Sharpe, all of Baxley; sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law, Sue and Pat Thomas and Cliff and Wadene Ansley; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Revs. Jimmy Howard and Brad Park officiating. Interment followed in Appling Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers were Jamie Sharpe, Rob Hinnant, Scotty Turner, Allen Turner, Da’Neil Sharpe, Andy Arnold and Dusty Arnold.
Honorary pallbearers were Myrna White, Judy Carter, Nancy Simmons, Cheryl Summerall, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Doyle, Wennell Sellers, Dan Gray, Naomi Sunday-School Class of Woodlawn Baptist Church and Justin Peeples.
Musical selections were rendered by Eileen Stone and Cliff Ansley.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
