Thelma Collins Yawn
Thelma Collins Yawn, 88, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Thelma was born April 22, 1923 to the late Samuel and Rebecca Clark Collins. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Nesbitt Mimbs of Fernandina Beach, FL and Sandra Currie of Dublin; one son, Glenn Yawn of Dublin; one sister, Arlo Eagleson; two brothers, Henry Collins and Corbett Collins; grandchildren: Hope Meredith, Raleigh Mills, Christa Thompson and Kimby Evans and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastor, Agnes Sellers officiating. Interment followed in Zoar Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Bobbie Currie, Kelly Meredith, Raleigh Mills, Wayne Mills, Danny Orvin and Marcus Trowell.
Musical selections were rendered by Donna Howard and Eileen Stone.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
