Robert L. Thompson
Robert L. Thompson, 81, of Brunswick, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Thompson was a member at the New Life Sanctuary and had many hobbies including gardening, coin collecting and bee keeping.
Survivors include his wife, Gerri; five daughters, Sharon Glisson, Beverly Johnson and Kim White, all of Baxley and Lisa Jackson of Savannah and Tina Quinn of Brunswick; two sons, Jeff Newsome and Shawn Thompson, both of Brunswick; nineteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 27) in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Jones and the Rev. Dan Harris officiating. Visitation was held from 12:00 noon until the service time.
Interment followed on Monday at 4:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedartown.
Active pallbearers were Terry Jackson, Ronald Hall, Earl Odum, Bob Peterson, Frank Whisnant and Billy Jones.
