Bryan Logan Bullard, 25, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 in Baxley. Mr. Bullard was born July 8, 1986 in Jacksonville, FL and had resided in Baxley for the past year. He was employed with the Pre-Release Center in Baxley as a prison guard. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and while serving he was a field radio operator and was ranked as Corporal. While in the USMC he was awarded the following: Marine Corps Good Conduct medal, Sea Service Deployment ribbon with one star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary medal, Iraq Campaign medal with one campaign star, Global War on Terrorism Service medal, National Defense Service medal, Joint Meritorious Unit award, Navy Unit Commendation, certificate of appreciation, letter of appreciation and rifle expert badge (2nd award).
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lester and Sandra Thomas and his paternal grandfather, Wright Bullard.
Survivors include his parents, Billy and Kelli Bullard of Baxley; one sister, Theresa Bullard of Baxley; one brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Suji Bullard of Orange Park, FL; his grandmother, Evelyn Bullard of Baxley; one nephew, Christopher Minchuk of Baxley; three aunts and uncles, James and Marla Tomberlin of Surrency, Ronnie and Susie Hunter of Surrency and Kevin and Marla Thomas of Hillard, FL.
Grave side services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Justin McLellan officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
