Appling County Recreation Department seeking umpires
The Appling County Recreation Department will be holding two meetings to identify and train umpires and scorekeepers for our upcoming baseball and softball seasons. There will be an organizational meeting of all those interested in umpiring held in the City Gym on Tuesday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m.
Those interested in scorekeeping will meet in the City Gym on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. These meetings will be to discuss expectations for the coming year and get a great start in providing a wonderful program for our citizens. Anyone interested please be at these meetings ready to learn about officiating and scorekeeping.

Additionally, Appling County Recreation Department is requesting anyone interested in coaching in this years baseball/softball program please contact Wilton McCall at 367-8190. All coaches are subject to a criminal background check prior to being assigned to a team.
Registration is underway in the City Gym, 8:30 - 5:00 Monday - Friday, for youth baseball and softball, please contact us at 367-8190 for additional information.
