Laurel Higginbotham, an Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College student from Baxley, will compete for the title of Ms. ABAC at the 42nd annual pageant on Feb. 23.
Higginbotham, a pre-dentistry major, is sponsored by the Men’s Golf Team. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. in ABAC’s Howard Auditorium. Admission is $5.00. Because of limited seating, advance ticket purchase is advised by calling (229) 391-4807.
Some contestants are sponsored by campus groups, including clubs, residence halls, athletic teams, and student media. Participants will compete in casual and evening wear. They will also be judged on a written essay and an interview with the judges.
ABAC Director of Public Relations Mike Chason will serve as master of ceremonies. All proceeds of the Ms. ABAC pageant will benefit the Ms. ABAC Scholarship and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
