Louise Dixon Deal, 83, of Bristol, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. The Appling County, native was a member of Ritch Baptist Church and worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse in hospitals and home health companies. She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. James “Doyle” Deal.
Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Dwight Sellers of Alma, Sarita and Bill Pope of Macon; four sons and daughters-in-law, Adrian and Judy Deal of Screven, Anthony and Margaret Deal, Johnny and Cynthia Deal, all of Douglas, Eric Deal of Bristol; four sisters, Maudina Carter of Waycross, Naomi Creek of Augusta Nadine Griffis of Augusta, Vonda Golden of Blackshear; two brothers, Warren Dixon and Larry Dixon, both of Augusta; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Carl Ledbetter and the Rev. Darren Deal officiating. Interment was in the Lake Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers were her family.
Visitation was held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to services at the funeral home.
