Louise Norris
Louise Norris, 83, of Garden City, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 in Westview Nursing Home. Mrs. Norris was born July 22, 1928 to the late William Hester and the late Elizabeth Gilder Hester. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. W. Norris; son Donnie Norris, sister, Willeen Yawn and brothers, Red, Willie and O. V. Hester.
Survivors include one daughter, Robbie Wood of Garden City; one son, Mike Norris of Baxley; two brothers, Billy Hester of Opelika, AL and Ennis Hester of Douglas; special friend, Buck Jones of Milan; grandchildren, Amber and J. D. Davis, Michael Issac Norris and Makiddian Norris; and two great-grandchildren, Blaze and Haylee.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Revs. Barry Teutsch and Rick Brown officiating. Interment followed in Omega Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were James Walsh, Chris Nail, Michael I. Norris, David O’Berry, Danny Norris and Chris Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were all in attendance.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
