Former Pirate golfer Ciera Bagley is playing well as a freshman at Columbus State University. Ciera graduated from Appling County High School and played golf for Coach Regina Warren. She advanced to the GHSA State Tournament in 2009 and finished third after winning the region championship.
Ciera was the low medalist at the 2010 region tournament.
On October 10 the Lady Cougars of Columbus State set a record score at the Birmingham Southern Shootout with a combined second round score of 289. The team took home second place during the tournament. Bagley shot a 78 and a 77 on her rounds during the tournament.
In June, Ciera won the David A. Wall Tournament in Blackshear.
During the two-day tournament she posted rounds of 76 and 72.
For winning the tournament, Ciera received a $1,500.00 scholarship.
Ciera is the daughter of Artie and Jeannie Bagley of Baxley.
