This past Saturday (Oct. 15) the Appling Christian Academy Eagles played the Shiloh Hills Challengers for the last regular season game. The Eagles defeated the Challengers 60 to 24 to finish off their season 8-1.

Eagles advance to GCAA championships with 60-24 win
The Eagles played a great offensive game. Andrew Phillips had 12 carries for 122 yards. Ben Hiers had 19 carries for 91 yards. Corey Reagin had eight carries for 17 yards. Brandon Horton completed two out of three passes for 53 yards. The offensive line did a good job blocking to make these yards possible.
The Eagles also had good defensive game with Corey Reagin and John McLemore leading with 10 tackles. Zach Carter had seven. Wade Edwards, Reid Edwards and Cameron Carter, all had five a piece. Cole Livingston had an interception.
With this victory the Eagles will advance to the GCAA championship against Kings Way. The game will be played in Douglasville on Oct. 28.
