Delorise Johnson Deen
Delorise Johnson Deen, 66, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Mrs. Deen was born Oct. 6, 1944 in Donalsonville to the late Rev. Lannie Wiggins and the late Rev. Clara Wiggins. She was a member of Big Oaks Church of God and was retired from Ship-N-Shore as a seamstress.
Survivors include her husband, Troy “Bo” Deen of Hazlehurst; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Keith and Marie Johnson of Baxley and Mark and Carla Johnson of Alma; one sister, Nadre Thompkins of Baxley; one brother, Nathan Wiggins of Colquitt; two grandchildren, Amber Nicole Johnson and Taylor Marie Johnson.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Revs. Mark Grimes and Virginia Herrington officiating. Interment followed in Appling Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers were Craig Causey, John Futch, Tim Partin, Randy Partin, Bill Crapps and Kenny Wright.
Honorary pallbearers were all friends in attendance.
Musical selections were rendered by Debbie Taylor and Sheila Kennedy.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
