Jerrel Scott “Jerry” Harper
Jerrel Scott “Jerry” Harper, 45, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Jerry was born Aug. 6, 1965 in Virginia Beach, VA. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerrel Seymour Harper and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John McDonald, Edna Tucker and Ludy G. Harper.
Survivors include his son, Justin Harper of Baxley; his mother, Grace Harper of Baxley; one sister, Deborah Williams of Dublin and two grandchildren, Harley and Haley Harper.
Grave side services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Appling Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Thad Harvey, Chris Nail and Stacie Teston officiating.
Active pallbearers were Jonathan Taylor, Mark Nail, Michael Griffin, Greg Griffin, Rusty Beckworth, Mike Stancil and Albert Crosby.
Musical selections were rendered by Brandi Harvey.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
