Joseph W. Bereta
Joseph W. Bereta, 68, died Sunday, October 2, 2011. Mr. Bereta was born April 14, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph Frank Bereta and the late Charlotte Kolakuski Bereta. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Plant Hatch.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Bereta of Baxley; four daughters, Dawn and Mark Johnson of Jacksonville, FL, Carrie Passailaigue, Cassandra Hower, both of Baxley and Suzanne McCrary of Michigan; four sons, James Bereta, Robert Bereta, Joseph W. Bereta, Jr., all of Boulder, Colorado and James Hedberg of Chicago, Illinois; numerous brothers, sisters and cousins, Walter and Johnny Bereta, both of Chicago; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services were held for Joseph W. Bereta at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastors Randy and Agnes Sellers officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
