Sheriff Benny Deloach reports that on October 7, deputies with the Appling County Sheriff’s Department executed a search on Hatch Parkway North after receiving information about the growing of marijuana. Upon executing the search, several plants were found along with items used to grow marijuana. Warrants have been taken for the arrest of Darrell Maxwell Beecher, age 38, and Robyn Hamm, age 37, both of Baxley, for manufacturing marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. At this time subjects have not been located to arrest.

Oct. 1, answered a call to Asbury Church Road in reference to a domestic dispute. A girlfriend and a boyfriend had a verbal dispute. The boyfriend fired a shot from a pistol going through the wall. The girlfriend was advised to see the magistrate judge to press charges.
Oct. 2, answered a call to Fire Tower Road in reference to threats. The complainant stated a subject had called and threatened to kill another subject.
Oct. 2, answered a call to East Hart Street of Surrency, in reference to a battery. The complainant stated her ex-boyfriend kicked the car door causing it to hit her leg causing a small laceration. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate judge in reference to taking a warrant.
Oct. 2, answered a call to Johns Lane in reference to a domestic dispute. A father and a son had an altercation and the son left the residence before officer arrived.
Oct. 2, served a warrant on Mark Wayne Bryant, Jr., age 23, on John Lewis Road and Bryant resisted arrest. Bryant was charged with battery, two counts of obstruction of an officer and probation violation.
Oct. 3, Answered a call to Parkers Convenience Store in Surrency in reference to a gas drive-off. Larry Sheppard, age 40, of Hoboken, was arrested and charged with no proof of insurance, expired vehicle tag and warrants are to be secured for theft by taking.
Oct. 3, answered a call to James Kent Road in reference to a Theft. The complainant stated when inventorying his shop he found several items missing valued at $4,000.00. The complainant also stated possible suspects are his business partners.
Oct. 3, a complainant came to the sheriff office to report theft of service. The REMC stated a subject stole around $1,600.00 worth of service. The subject was given a deadline to pay or a warrant would be taken.
Oct. 3, answered a call to Holmesville Avenue in reference to the theft of a dog. A complainant stated his neighbor took his dog over a year ago and will not return the dog to him.
Oct. 4, answered a call to Hatch Parkway South in reference to a theft. A complainant stated a 125 Suzuki motorcycle and a 70cc Baja motorcycle was taken from her carport without her permission. Investigation continues.
Oct. 5, answered a call to Black Creek Trail in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated unknown subject(s) had cut two places in the screen to the breezeway. No entry to residence was made. Investigation continues.
Oct. 5, answered a call to Cleland Lane in reference to a theft. A complainant stated subject(s) took a check from her mailbox and found the check had been cashed at a local grocery store. Investigation continues.
Oct. 6, a routine traffic stop on Jones Street resulted in the arrest of Chadrick Antonio Davis, age 28, of Baxley. Davis was charged with open container in vehicle and possession of cocaine.
Oct. 6, answered a call to Addie Lane in reference to harassing text messages. The complainant stated her husband has been texting and harassing her.
