Lanis Franklin Hutchinson
Lanis Franklin Hutchinson, 93, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011. Mr. Hutchinson was born Feb. 4, 1918 in Appling County to the late William Franklin Hutchinson and the late Jennie Carter Hutchinson. He was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church. He was a Mason of Holmesville Masonic Lodge #195 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Murle Rentz Hutchinson and a son, Derrell Hutchinson.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Ronnie White of Baxley; four sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Harriett Hutchinson of Baxley, Dave and Dianne Hutchinson of Macon, Kenneth and Loretta Hutchinson of Fayetteville and Charles and Linda Hutchinson of Savannah; one sister, Winnie Doyle of Baxley; two brothers, Way Hutchinson of Baxley and Billy Hutchinson of Leesburg; 64 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 from Spring Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Daniels, the Rev. Chip Woodruff and the Rev. Doug Jones and Chad Hutchinson officiating. Interment followed in Omega Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Kem Hutchinson, Neil Hutchinson, Stan White, Aaron Hutchinson, Stacey Hutchinson and Shaun Hutchinson.
Honorary pallbearers were Adult Men’s and Women’s Sunday School Class and deacons and wives of Spring Branch Baptist Church.
Musical selections were rendered by Henry Branch and The Apostles.

Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
