Betty Ann Lewis Sloan, 64, of Jacksonville, died Friday, August 26, after a brief illness. Born September 24, 1946, Mrs. Sloan was a former resident of Appling County and a graduate of the 1964 class of ACHS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Fulton Lewis and Mildred Madeline Leggett Lewis, and two brothers, Jerry Donald Lewis and Charles Gene Lewis.

Survivors include a son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, Shane and Dana Sloan, Hannah and Seth, all of Broxton, and two brothers, Paul Lewis of Bristol, and Bob Lewis of Bryson City, NC, as well as several nieces and nephews.
