Brenda Clance Turner
Brenda Clance Turner, 62, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011. Mrs. Turner was a native and life long resident of Jeff Davis County. She was the daughter of the late Curtis Clance and the late Ovetta Buckins Clance. Brenda was a homemaker and a member of the Bridgeford Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Turner of Hazlehurst; two daughters and son-in-law, Kim Edge and Candace and Dewayne Davis, all of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Kylie Edge, Cammie Davis and Cole Edge, all of Hazlehurst; one sister, Betty Shipes of Baxley; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Ruth Clance of Warner Robins; and several other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 from the chapel of Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. The Rev. Roger Daniels and the Rev. Milton Pate officiated with burial following in Bridgeford Church of God Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jimmy Barber, Gerald Lewis, Robert Lewis, Carroll Sapp, Greg Brantley and Jimmy McLeod.
Musical selections were rendered by Beverly Swain and Nita McLeod.
Arrangements were under the direction of Miles Funeral Home of Hazlehurst.
