Eagles lose first game 28-30

This week the Appling Christian Academy Eagles played Kings Way for senior night. The game was very tight and scores went back and forth. But the Eagles lost 28 to 30. The Eagle offense played a good game and Andrew Phillips had 23 carries for 182 yards and Ben Hiers had 10 carries for 52 yards. Brandon Horton had three for six passes for 52 yards. The score at half time was 28 to 22 with Eagles leading.

The Eagle defense played a good game. John McLemore was leading with 13 tackles. Zach Carter and Andrew Phillips had 12 tackles apiece. Brandon Horton had an interception. Next week the Eagles have an off week and play Shiloh Hills on Oct. 15.
