The Georgia Department of Transportation announces a traffic lane shift will occur on U.S. 1/S.R. 4 starting at the Bacon County Line and extending north of S.R. 15 in Appling County starting on today, September 28. Traffic will be shifted onto the newly constructed lanes of U.S.1/S.R. 4. The traffic shift is necessary to complete the final phase of this widening and reconstruction project.
