Eagles defeat Peoples on Homecoming, Queen Crowned

At its annual Homecoming Game, Appling Christian Academy crowned the 2011 Homecoming Queen. Ms. Kayla Bohannon was the recipient of this year’s honor. The Eagles also picked up another big victory and remain undefeated this season.

This week the Appling Christian Academy Eagles played Peoples on Thursday night for Homecoming.

This was the Eagles first conference game. The Eagles won by the score of 58-0.

The Eagles had a great offensive game. Andrew Phillips had 14 carries for 268 yards and seven touchdowns. Ben Hiers had 17 carries for 32 yards.

Brandon Horton had a good passing game with four out of five for 54 yards and one touchdown.

The Eagles also had a good defensive game and didn’t let Peoples score. Zach Carter was leading with 14 tackles. John McLemore, Dallas Johnson, Cameron Carter and Andrew Phillips all had 11 tackles apiece. Andrew Phillips also had two interceptions.

Next week the Eagles play Kings Way for senior night. We thank God for our victories and hope He blesses the rest of the season.
