Charles Randall Lovett, 57, of Sylvester, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. He was born Jan. 11, 1954 in Jeff Davis County and had resided in Sylvester for the last 22 years. Mr. Lovett was employed as a Deputy Sheriff for Terrell County and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Raleigh Lovett and Bobbie Lovett.
Survivors include three daughters, Kris Taylor and husband, Lee, of Valdosta, Shayane Lawson and husband, Chad, of Leesburg and April Lovett of Adell; two sons, Caled Lovett of Dothan and Chad Lovett of Atlanta; his mother Bobbie Lovett of Sylvester; grandson Kaisen Lawson of Leesburg; three aunts, Joyce Walls of Sylvester, Carolynn Thompson of Chula and Willie Nell Rowell of Jacksonville, FL; and several cousins also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 in the chapel of David E. Miles Funeral Home with the Rev. Sara Nell Teems officiating. Interment followed in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Jeff Davis County.
Active pallbearers were Craig Padgett, Lee Taylor, Aubury Bo Thompson, Al Jordan, Robert Williamson and David Ray.
Honorary pallbearers were all friends in attendance.
Musical selections were rendered by C.D. selections.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
