Mr. and Mrs. Edgar William Ennis, Jr., of Macon, announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Mary Branan Ennis, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, to Mr. Aaron Fredrick Zahn, also of Jacksonville Beach.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar William Ennis, Sr., of Albany, and Mrs. Mary B. Godfrey and the late Jack E. Godfrey of Baxley. She is an honor graduate of Stratford Academy in Macon, and a 2001 presentee at the Bon Hommes debutante ball. She received a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree, with highest honors, from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She completed her medical studies at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine in 2007. Since completing a residency in Emergency Medicine at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Ennis has practiced emergency medicine at the Baptist Hospitals in Jacksonville.

The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Dean Zahn of Crosslake, Minnesota. He is the grandson of Mrs. Margaret S. Skold and the late Mr. Douglas L. Skold of Prior Lake, Minnesota, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Zahn of Faribault, Minnesota.
He is a graduate of The Hawken School in Cleveland, Ohio, and Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where he received a Bachelor of Philosophy and Psychology.
Mr. Zahn is the President and Chief Executive Officer of BCR Environmental Corporation, in Jacksonville.
The wedding will take place at Vineville United Methodist Church in Macon on October 22.
