Ms. Lori Tatum of Jesup and Mr. and Mrs. Armon (Barbee) Griffis of Baxley, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tiffany Elaine Griffis, to Rusty Lane Lovett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Tammy) Johnson of Baxley and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff (Shirley) Lovett of Hazlehurst.
The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis (Sonuya) Tatum of Screven, and the paternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Ethel) Griffis of K’Ville.
Tiffany is a 2003 honor graduate and Salutatorian of Appling County High School. She is a 2007 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Valdosta State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Tiffany is currently employed as a Registered Nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.
The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Ms. Waydene Varnadore of Baxley and Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Iris) Thornton of Baxley, and the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.L. (Reathel) Lovett of Hazlehurst.
Rusty is a 2007 honor graduate of Appling County High School. He is a 2011 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Rusty is currently employed at Southeastern System Technologies in Baxley as a low-voltage electrician.
The wedding will take place September 17 at 5:00 p.m. at the Baxley Church of God with a reception immediately following.
