During the Appling County Commissioners regularly scheduled meeting, on February 5, County Manager Lee Lewis informed the commission that concerns over the air quality at the Health Department had been reported. After an inspection it was determined that the air system needs to be cleaned. A quote was received from Quality Air Consultants for cleaning and post inspection of the system for the amount of $2,199.00. Commissioner Charlie Leggett made a motion, with a second from Commissioner Theodore Wilkerson, to accept the quote and to pay for the cleaning with contingency funds. The motion was approved unanimously.
