The following are highlights of incidents that were handled by officers of the Baxley Police Department over the past several days.
Feb. 9 at approximately 6:22 p.m., answered a call to Wal-Mart in reference to a theft. On arrival officers met with the LPC officer who related to them, that they had an earlier theft, in which a person had taken some items and then cut the security wires off of them and left without paying for them. And after reviewing the surveillance tapes they were able to identify the person. Charged in connection with the incident was Sean Michael Higginbotham, 25, of Baxley, on one count theft by shoplifting.
