I had to travel with my family to Texas one summer to see my wife’s parents. I didn’t want to go for I hated to drive long distances, but felt I had to in order to preserve family peace. I knew I would be miserable because every time I travel, I get irregular. It is my nerves, I guess, that ties my intestines into a knot. [Full Story »]

Rozzie S. Cook, 91, died Friday, May 20, 2011 at her son’s residence in Kathleen. Ms. Cook was a native of Pierce County and had resided in Baxley for 40 years. She was retired from Phillips Van Heusen and she was a homemaker. Ms. Cook was a member of Friendship Congregational Christian Church. Rozzie was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar N. Cook.
