Officers with the Baxley Police Department answered a call on August 4, at approximately 3:57 p.m., to CVS Pharmacy in reference to an armed robbery. While officers were enroute to the scene, they were notified that the offender, a black male subject wearing a black jacket and black shorts, was running behind McDonald’s restaurant on Comas Street. After a brief search of the area the offender was located and placed into custody.
Upon talking to the victim, she reported that she was confronted at CVS by the offender who pulled a knife on her and wanted her pocketbook. The victim told the officers she screamed for help and the offender started hitting and kicking her, and sometime during the scuffle he dropped his knife and then fled the area on foot.
