Over the past week many have been exposed to a number of observances, remembrances, and dedications acknowledging the birth, life, works, accomplishments and subsequent assassination of the iconic Civil Rights activist, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Researching information about Dr. King required me working beyond last week’s deadline so I had to be content to submit the resulting discoveries this week, a few days beyond his January 15th birthday.
Many interesting facts were discovered in my search for details of the slain Civil Rights Leader. Unfortunately, listing knowledge acquired would extend far beyond the allotment I’m permitted in one issue of the News-Banner. I’m relatively certain Mr. Gardner (my apologies Jamie) does like me a little but I won’t push the envelope.
