Mary Verline Tatum Sellers, 74, of Dawsonville, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Mrs. Sellers was born November 11, 1936 to the late E. L. and Ina Mae Tatum. She was a lifelong resident of Dawson County and a member of McKee’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sellers was a devoted and loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Sellers.
Surviving are her son and daughter in law, Darren and Melissa Sellers, Dawsonville; daughter and son in law, Marla and Bradley Gillespie, Gainesville; Grandchildren, Joshua Sellers, Russel Gillespie, Caleb Sellers, Rylee Gillespie; brothers and sisters in law, W.L. and Ruby Nell Tatum, Dawsonville, Hayne and Lois Tatum, Dawsonville; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral Services were held Friday, July 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at McKee’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sellers lay in state at the church beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment followed in the McKee’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends Thursday, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
