Sherri L. Branch
Sherri L. Branch, 54, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at her residence. Sherri was born in Appling County on Sept. 19, 1956 and had resided here all of her life. She was a retired seamstress and was employed with Douglas-Harper Manufacturing before her retirement. Sherri was a member of Bethel Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kami Branch and her father, Clifford Johnson.
Survivors include one daughter, Lacey Branch and her fiancée, Dustin Hunter of Baxley; two sons, Wayne and wife, Kim Branch of Baxley and Jerry Branch of Ringgold; her mother, Lucille Johnson of Baxley; one brother, Gary Johnson and fiancée, Cindy Howard of Baxley; four grandchildren, Samantha Morris, Lizzie Branch, Noah Branch and Hayden Hunter and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Steve Dowless and Earl Wiggins officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Donivan Buchans, Russell Griffin, Brian Hunter, Skipper Hutcheson, Dewayne Roddenberry, Thomas Garnes, Tony Sellers and Donald Bellew.
Honorary pallbearers were all friends attending the funeral service.
Musical selections were rendered by Julie Osborne, Susan Herrington, Shirley Altman and Nichole Whitefield.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
