Steger and Orvin to exchange vows July 22
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Steger are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Marissa Nicole Steger, to Lantz Matthew Orvin, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Orvin.
Miss Steger is the maternal granddaughter of Jimmie and the late Jesse White. Her paternal grandparents are Frances and the late Harold Steger.
Marissa is a 2002 graduate of Appling County Comprehensive High School. She has earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University.
In 2009, Marissa earned an Educational Specialist degree from Nova Southeastern University.
The bride-elect is currently employed by the Wayne County Board of Education as a second grade teacher where she has taught for the past four years.
Lantz is the maternal grandson of the late Mattie and Joe Presley. He is the paternal grandson of the late Carrie and W. H. Orvin.
The groom-elect is a 1993 graduate of Appling County Comprehensive High School. He is a field specialist for Yancey Brothers Company, a Caterpillar dealer in Statesboro.
The wedding ceremony will take place on July 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents, Ralph and Lucy Steger.
A reception will immediately follow the wedding ceremony.
No local invitations will be sent; friends and family are invited to attend.
